A Little Leg

In the May 2008 issue of Oprah Magazine, the Style and Beauty section features an article about getting the appearance of your legs in shape for the warmer, more scantily clad months of summer.  Among the discussions are cuts of clothing and types of shoes to flatter your shape, conceal flaws (such as dimpling), and tanning crèmes or oils to trick the light into concealing veins, blotches, and bruises. What AMA has to say: At American Medical Aesthetics, we don’t believe in hiding your skin’s imperfections, we believe in healing them.  Our state of the art collection of laser devices is capable of permanently correcting pre-existing sun damage, broken capillaries, spider veins, scars, stretch marks, and pigmentation flaws.  In addition, laser hair removal safely, permanently removes leg hair (no more prickles, no more razor burn!) so you can be ready to show off any day of the week. It isn’t just your legs that should be ready for summer (or any other occasion).  AMA also treats acne scarring, rosacea, wrinkles, stretch marks, and many other cosmetic conditions of the skin whether they’re on your legs, face, neck, chest, or anywhere else you want to beautify.

Surgery

In the April 2008 issue of Glamour Magazine (featuring Salma Hayek on the cover), an article about cosmetic surgery, a statistic notes a 400% increase in ‘elective’ plastic surgeries in the last ten years. What AMA has to say: The advances in cosmetic surgery that have taken place over the last few years have been huge.  But going ‘under the knife’ is not the only, nor is it the best, way to improve your appearance.  Sure, a facelift can ‘take years’ off your face, but it can also leave you with scars, at risk for infection, and worrying about unpredictable results or complications that can accompany any surgical procedure.  Moreover, a facelift can reposition your skin, and does not address the actual health of your skin. With our unique, holistic SpectraLift™ non-surgical facelift, you are investing not only in your appearance, but in the health of your whole body.  Since the procedure is performed with precisely calibrated lasers which individually target specific types of skin cells, results of the SpectraLift™ are both dramatic, and consistent.  Furthermore, with no incisions, patients undergo no more than the application of a mild topical anesthetic (totally eliminating risks associated with general anesthesia), experience extremely minimal downtime, and do not suffer the long-term effects of unsightly scarring and bruising. Beyond the profound cosmetic improvements provided by these simple, straightforward procedures, patients will enjoy skin that is actually healthier: real, physiological rejuvenation of the body’s cells and tissues.  Your skin will be better able to protect you from environmental pollutants, eliminate toxins that can build up in the body, and refresh itself as it naturally would have in youth (all while looking positively radiant). Beauty is just a side effect of skin that is truly, naturally, healthy.

Better Than Botox

In the March 2008 issue of InStyle magazine featuring Eva Longoria Parker and Nikki Hilton on the cover, there was an article called “Better Than Botox” that stated ‘Leading dermatologists agree that Botulinum Toxin is the preferred treatment for glabellar lines, that tiny space of moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows.’ What AMA Has to say: What’s better than Botox is doing one of our world renowned non-surgical face-lift in conjunction with Botox and you will get a much better result.  Our SpectraLift non-surgical face-lift will transform your skin and reverse your aging process.  We do this by treating all the discoloration, redness, sun and age spots, loss of collagen, and buildup of un-exfoliated skin we experience as we age.  We customize all our treatments for each individual patient and pride ourselves on how great you will look and feel after your treatments.

The Right Treatments at the Right Time

In Self.com Magazine’s February 2008 issue (featuring Eva Longoria Parker on the cover), a writer chronicles her experience with the guided, professional cosmetic medicine wherein she was in fact steered away from procedures that would be ‘too much’.  While some forms of plastic surgery and other invasive procedures have seen an increase in popularity over the last few years, what’s even more exciting is the leaps and bounds that cosmetic medicine has made in technologies that are non-invasive, providing means of improving your health and appearance that are faster, safer, and easier.  But sometimes, even these gentler procedures can be too much, undermining their own effectiveness or making a condition worse than it was to begin with! What AMA has to say: It’s true that more is not necessarily better.  Here at American Medical Aesthetics, we’re here to physiologically transform our patients’ skin, from the inside out!  We feel that it is our mission to keep our patients’ long-term goals and health as our primary focus, not a short term gain that might be damaging to their health.  From dermafillers like Radiesse™ and Restylane™, Botox™ injections, to the variety of skin conditions that can be treated with our exclusive SpectraLift ™ non-surgical facelift, AMA exists to create customized treatments for every patients skin.  In addition, AMA provides the best tools and treatments for maintenance and preventative care to maximize results and keep your skin looking dazzling with less poking, prodding, and pulling. At American Medical Aesthetics, you can be confident that you won’t need a second opinion.
